Where to sleep

Located on the edge of L’Orrido di Botri Nature Reserve, about 30 km from Lucca and 5 from Garfagnana, Il Podere extends over an area of 50,000 sq. metres. About 10,000 are used to grow grapevines, olive trees, fruit trees and vegetables, and the rest is a lush forest full of all kinds of animals, such as commonly seen wild boar, deer, porcupines, squirrels, badgers and countless species of birds, including several rare birds of prey. 

Il Podere in Farneta is a haven of peace. Strictly for nature lovers.

Leisure activities on offer include table tennis, mountain biking, hiking in nearby areas, as well as tastings of the special products we produce (such as olive oil and wine).
